This summer, a full body and spirit reset awaits you at the Peace with Food Somatic Summer Camp. Join us for a playful and transformative week at the most gorgeous rustic retreat center in the Rockies. Combining somatic healing practices, movement, art, and ceremony – this experience is an opportunity for you to heal, grow and get inspired in community!
Your nervous system knows what it needs.
To slow down, to have space, to savor nature, to experience warm connection, to be a part of something bigger, beautiful and lasting.
As a nervous system educator, I am always paying attention to how people heal.
And it’s not in isolation.
We heal and grow in the embrace of nature and in community with kind and caring others.
Our daily lives are full of responsibilities and have their very own rhythm. In the business of life, we can forget what is possible when we take the space to inhabit ourselves fully from our blueprint.
This is what we remember at retreat.
We remember a different pace. We get to experience what happens when we slow down, when we receive the care of Mother Nature. We dip below the defenses and reconnect with the blueprint – we come home to our bodies and their infinite self-healing potential.
At retreat you will get to meet yourself without the noise and distraction of your daily chores and responsibilities. You will engage in daily somatic movement and creative practices, which call you home to yourself!
You will get to discover the richness of your inner life in each moment: as you wake amongst pristine beauty, as you meditate under the aspen trees, as you walk the paths by the river, as you eat the organic local food, as you create art, as you dance with friends, as you stand around the camp fire and tell your story.
If you want to know what it’s like to arrive to each meal with a body that is ready to be nourished, if you want to really experience the gift of embodied rest and surrender, and if you are curious what is waiting on the other side of building a life size nest and going through the Nest portal…we can’t wait to meet you at our Beyul retreat.
ABOUT THE HOST
GALINA DENZEL
Galina lives, works and plays in Longmont, Colorado, surrounded and held by the beauty of the Rockies.
She was born and raised in the Rose Valley of Bulgaria and immigrated to the US in her early thirties. Galina greets each day with gratitude for another chance to become more of herself, as a human being, a partner, a friend, an educator…
She founded Pure Belonging in 2019, after several years of teaching this work in retreat format, with the dream to get the peace with food message to more people who needed freedom from the trauma adaptations that lead to food suffering.
It has taken the incredible support of many mentors and teachers, and the generous trust of countless brave students, so that Galina can stand here today and offer you a steady hand on the path to peace with food.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
DEBBIE BAXTER
Debbie Baxter (she/her) is a mother, artist, fine art photographer, creator of The Nest Project, author of “NEST”, and founder of The Nest Project, Inc. Debbie has traveled to multiple cities worldwide building handmade nests and offering nest experiences as a way to voice unheard stories and embrace the unheld bodies.
Her continued mission is to create art that inspires and reminds others to slow down, tend to our wounds, create safe spaces, and reflect on how we treat the vulnerable parts of ourselves and the vulnerable members of our society.
