about

You are invited to join us for a very special 10-day art and movement retreat designed to help turn your life’s stories into beautiful works of art. Allow us to provide you with a deeply nourishing and life-changing experience designed to open your heart, stimulate your senses, and nurture your BEING through expression, movement, bodywork, and exquisite surroundings.

Our intention is to provide a sanctuary for healing and a coming home through building a nest installation on site. We will then guide you through a transformation and rebirth using the creative process and artistic expression; coming into your body through movement, breath and sound; expressing emotions and wounds through creative writing and finding your voice; and being witnessed as you find more trust and safety in your body.

“When I think of a nest, I think of a place of safety and protection. Safe to let go. Safe to feel at ease. Safe to be yourself and completely protected.”

– Annesta

The signature NEST Experience is a rebirth into a more authentic version of yourself. This includes intention setting and bringing a part of yourself to the nest that could use more love. Together, we build a human-sized nest and take turns getting in and being photographed. This is an opportunity to honor and embrace yourself and let go of old stories of trauma, shame, guilt, and cultural programming. Each participant will not only be photographed but will be led through crafting their own unique narrative.

The Bali NEST experience is a woman-only retreat, and a safe place and opportunity to share our stories and transform it all into beautiful works of art.

The activities included in the retreat are:

  • Daily Morning and Evening Yoga – Movement sequence designed to nurture and energize the body and soul.
  • Somatic Movement – A practice of self-awareness designed to allow us to reconnect with our innocence , playfulness and Divine Feminine. We will explore movement and our sensuality inspired by beautiful music.
  • Building a Human-sized Nest – Over the course of several days, we will build a human sized nest installation out of natural materials from the island.
  • Sound Healing – A Sacred Sound Journey is a guided exploration deep into the self. Using various instruments, you will be guided into a deep state of relaxation where you can tune in to your own healing frequency and connect to your essential core.
  • Crafting our Narratives – Through creative writing prompts, each participant will work with the facilitators to craft their own unique powerful narrative.
  • NEST Photoshoot – Artistic Portrait taken in The NEST. There will be plenty of flowers and natural elements to create a beautiful image of your body being held.
  • Closing Ceremony – This ceremony includes a special meal and sharing from the experience.
  • Field Trips – Join us as we journey to special places around Ubud.

Participants will leave this experience feeling nourished, seen, rested, held, restored and with a new found community to continue this beautiful work of healing and self discovery.
